Power Yoga

Our Power Yoga class is a more dynamic form of classic Yoga. It will involve more challenging and dynamic holds, as compared with our other 'Slow Flow Yoga' class. Try both and see which suits you better.

HIIT

High intensity interval training is a class based workout program; focusing on the use of light resistance and bodyweight exercises to get your heart pumping and calories burning to the maximum potential! Come and try one out, they're guaranteed to improve your day in just 45 minutes.
Duration: 45mins

BOX FIT

A high intensity 45min blast with boxing drills. You will use and learn basic boxing techniques, combined with other body weight exercises. Which means this is a full body hiit session. For hygeinic reasons, remember to bring your own gloves!.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

A typical class will be structure by a variety of body weight, or light resistance exercises, in a circuit or timed format.They are great for building cardio, and muscular endurance, all while burning a whole lot of calories.

Barbell Fit

The Barbell Fit, is a High Intensity class utilizing a barbell. A lot of the exercises in the class will mimic the basic Olympic Weightlifting movements, such as the clean, and the overhead press. These otherwise complicated movements are broken down into beginner friendly parts, providing a high intensity workout for those who want to learn technique.

Box Fit

Boxing Fit class with a high intensity twist! This class is extremely fun, and you will learn basic boxing techniques at the same time.

Duration: 45mins

S & C

S & C stands for Strength and Conditioning. A class where you will learn and use the basic S&C training exercises like those of elite athletes, however tailored for all beginner to intermediate level participants.

Duration: 60 mins

Powerlifting

The Squat, the Bench Press and the Deadlift. The foundations of strength training. At TD we take great pride in having such an awesome barbell culture. Whether you're a beginner, or an elite level lifter, you'll feel right at home. You can either lift by yourself, meet and train with others in the gym, or join our "Barbell Coaching" program. Weightlifting

The Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Often regarded as the most athletic strength sport. All Training Day facilities cater for Olympic Weightlifters, whether you train by yourself, looking for other lifters to train with, or require some coaching from one of the best in the country, you will feel right at home. Why are group classes different in Training Day Burwood and Clayton?

Most classes such a HIIT and BB Fit are actually very similar. However, times and instructors are different due to location and class popularity.

Are the Group Class rooms the same at Training Day Burwood & Clayton?

The group class rooms are around the same size at both Training Day Gym Burwood and Training Day Clayton. Both group class rooms have plenty of space and a variety of equipment to make a great workout.

How do I know which group fitness class is right for me?

All of our group classes are run by qualified fitness professionals who are able to cater the exercises for beginners through to advanced members. The workouts can be done at your own pace and intensity to match your current fitness level.

Is there anything that I need to bring to class?

It is recommended you bring a drink bottle and towel to the class. Training Day Gym does have water bottles and towels available for sale at reception.

Can I attend the fitness classes if I’m pregnant?

Training Day Gym recommends each person speaks with their doctor and seeks approval before exercising within the gym or participating in a group fitness class.

How fit or experienced do I need to be for group fitness classes?

You do not need to be experienced at all. Our classes can be catered to all fitness levels so it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced gym goer.

How many people can attend a group fitness class?

The amount of people who can attend a group fitness class varies depending on what area of the gym the class in run. As a general rule, we try to keep class numbers under 10.

Do I need to book a group class?

There is no need to book a group class. Simply arrive 5-10min before class to secure your spot.

What happens if I’m late to a fitness class?

Depending how late you arrive, you may still be able to join in the fitness class. Our coaches are very experienced and will be able to adapt the class to the shorter amount of time left for you.

Can I attend a fitness class with an injury or illness?

We ask that everyone gets medically cleared by their doctor for any injury. If you are sick or unwell we ask that you do not attend the gym or any group fitness class until symptoms have gone.

Can I bring a family or friend to a fitness class?

Yes you can bring a family or friend to a group fitness class. If they are not a member they can pay the casual rate of $15 for the class.

Is there a casual pass to group classes at Training Day?

Yes there is a casual pass to group fitness classes at Training Day. The casual pass is $10 and gives you access to the class as well as general admission to the gym.

What happens if I forget my towel or water bottle?

If you forget your towel or water bottle you can purchase one from reception.

Are there lockers to store my belongings while I do a fitness class?

Yes there are lockers available to store your belongings while you do a fitness class. We recommend bringing your own padlock for the lockers. There is also bag storage available which is under video surveillance.
