Training Day Gym - Covid19 FAQ

When will Training Day Gyms reopen?

June 22nd!  The Victorian government has announced that from June 22nd, gyms will be able to reopen with a maximum of 20 people allowed in at the one time.

Training Day Gym will be opening on a ‘casual entry’ basis.  This means that you only pay for the bookings/visits you make.

As we cannot fit all our members in the gym, we didn’t think it was fair to start to debit everyone.

Will it be safe to return to the gym?

Yes! We have adhered to all Government guidelines and have dramatically increased our cleaning and sanitation protocols.

We will have separated or closed gym equipment to ensure effective social distancing, increased personal cleaning stations, and access to hand sanitiser, and increased our in-club cleaning.

How will the gym ensure hygiene and cleanliness is maintained?

Training Day Gym has implemented all cleaning and social distancing guidelines as per government recommendations. We have also invested in Mandatory staff training on Cleaning best practices for all of our team.

Between each booking, the gym will be closed to the public for a full clean using disinfectant and sanitizer.

Can I access the gym 24/7?

Unfortunately, not at this point in time.  Access to the gym is only available during our staffed hours.

During this stage of reopening, our staffed hours will be

Monday - Friday 6am-10pm

Saturday + Sunday 8am-6pm

Do I just turn up to the gym to workout?

No.  We have created a booking link for all TD members, to book in the time they want.  This will stop you having to stand around and wait to enter the gym.  Once your time is booked, you are guaranteed entry.

There will be a few spots available for ‘walk ins’ however members who have booked will be given priority.

What do I need to bring to my workout?

You must come with your own towel (entry will not be accepted without a towel) and drink a bottle.  Towels and drink bottles will be available for sale if you forget.

How do I book in for a workout?

Bookings will be open on June 1st.  We will be sending out an online booking link in our weekly updates.  The booking link will also be available via our private facebook group and our website.

How much does a casual entry cost?

The cost will be $15.  This is paid online at the time of booking.

How far in advance can I book my entry?

You will be able to book up to 2 weeks in advance.

How long can I stay in the gym for?

You will have 90minutes to complete your workout.

Is there a limit on how many people can come into the gym?

Yes, there will be a maximum of 20 people in the gym at one time.

Can I continue to suspend my account if I do not want to return to the gym yet?

At this point, there is no need to suspend your account, as all membership debits are already suspended until further notice.

Once we have a date fortnightly payments will resume we will let you know.  We understand that not everyone will be ready to come back to the gym straight away, and suspensions will be available for those who need it.

What is going to happen with my membership payments?

All memberships were suspended until further notice on March 23rd.  Memberships will continue to be suspended until we are able to operate as normal.

We will notify you by email and social media weeks in advance of when fortnightly debits will resume.

What happens if I have paid for an Upfront membership?

The end date of you’re upfront membership will be extended to match the length of time we have been in shutdown for. We will notify you when we have a set date to resume business as usual.

How will the gym be structured to maintain social distancing?

We have moved equipment / machines to ensure that there is a minimum of 1.5m distance between them.

A few of the machines which could not be configured to maintain distance will be out of order.

Will I be able to do personal training?

Yes you will.  However, as spots in the gym are limited, you will need to book a casual entry at the time you wish to train with your personal trainer.

Will I still be able to hire equipment if I do not want to access the gym?

There will still be a small amount of equipment available if you wish to hire.

Will group classes be running?
